Scott played in his third different position as a junior and
continued to rank as one of the team's most outstanding offensive
linemen...after playing right guard as a redshirt freshman, he was
at left tackle as a sophomore and moved to left guard last
season...comes into his senior season as the starter at left
tackle...has started 31 of Tech's 34 games during the past three
years...has a chance to be an all-conference caliber performer...a
medical redshirt during the 2007 season, he stepped forward as a
true freshman to become a full-time starter...has the potential to
make a major impact...excellent attitude...good size and mobility
for the position...has improved his footwork and increased his
strength...shoulder injury slowed him during the first two years,
but surgery appears to have him fully healthy.
At Tech (In 2010): Scott was Tech's full-time
starter at left guard...started nine of 11 games...missed the
Murray State and Eastern Kentucky contests late in the year with an
injury.
(In 2009): Scott was Tech's full-time starter at left
tackle...started 10 games...missed the Kansas State contest with an
injury.
(In 2008): Scott became a full-time starter for the
Golden Eagles in his first year of action, stepping into the slot
at right tackle...started all 12 games.
(In 2007): Spent his first season on the Golden
Eagle roster as a medical redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Scott was a four-year letterman and
three-year starter at Centennial High School in Alpharetta, Ga.,
earning several team awards while anchoring the offensive
line....the 6-foot-5, 285-pound team captain was an all-county
pick.
