Following two seasons at center, Malcolm made the move to left
tackle during 2010 spring drills and was emerging as a standout in
the front line when a torn tricep sidelined him in the sixth
game...missed spring drills but expected to return at left tackle
in the fall...fully recovered from the tricep injury and will
provide strong leadership, both in his play and
vocally...accelerated into the lineup at center in mid-season of
2008 because of injuries to the starter and took full advantage of
his opportunity...proved to be a solid contributor, starting six
games...held that starting role at center throughout the 2009
season...contiued to develop both his strength and footwork.
AT TECH (In 2010): Malcolm was off to a
sensational start in his junior season when he was sidelined with a
torn tricep...played in six games as the starter at left
tackle.
(In 2009): Malcolm started at center in all 11 games for
the Golden Eagles in 2009.
(In 2008): Started at center in six games as a
true freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year starter at Princeton
High School in Cincinnati under coach Bill Leach...proved to be
extremely versatile, playing every position in the offensive
line...for the final two years, he did not allow a single
quarterback sack and as a senior he was credited with 37 pancake
blocks...invited to participate in the Prep-Star All-American
Combine in Los Angeles...team captain...also lettered two years on
the track & field team, competing in shot put.
