A key member of the 2011 senior class, Travis will be a leader
on-and-off the field for the Golden Eagles...has played in every
game for the past three years and has helped provide a deep and
talented group of players on the defensive line...could see his
role increase in 2011 as the returning starter at the "Rock"
position up front...sure-handed tackler and an aggressive pass
rushing threat...big, quick and intelligent football player who has
the potential to surface when post-season recognition is handed
out...among the strongest players on the defensive side of
scrimmage and getting stronger with his continued work in the

AT TECH (In 2010): Travis played in all 11 games
and was the starter in nine contests...ranked third among defensive
linemen with 24 total tackles, including four
tackles-for-loss...broke up one pass and had two quarterback
hurries...recovered a dumble and returned it 17 yards for a
touchdown against Lane College...matched his career-high with five
tackles twice, making five stops against both UT Martin and Eastern
Illinois...had 1.5 tackles-for-loss against the EIU
Panthers.
(In 2009): Started all 11 games at defensive end
(rock)...made 29 total tackles to rank third among defensive
linemen...had five stops against both Eastern Illinois and
Tennessee State...earned two turnovers in road games...recovered a
fumble at Eastern Kentucky and intercepted a pass at UT Martin,
returning it nine yards.
(In 2008): Played in all 12 games as a true freshman and
proved to be an active defender...finished his first season with 14
total tackles and also blocked a kick...broke up two passes...had
2.5 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks...made career-high
three assisted tackles against Jacksonville State...had two
quarterback hurries at Austin Peay...blocked a PAT attempt at
Louisville.
HIGH SCHOOL: Travis came to the Golden Eagles out
of Wilson Central High School...earned first-team all-region and
first-team All-Midstate honors playing a dual role as a receiver
and defensive end...on offense, he had 12 catches and one
touchdown...on defense, he compiled 38 total tackles, five
tackles-for-loss, one sack, four QB hurries, one interception and
recovered two fumbles.
