Dom Hughes is in his first year as an assistant coach for Tech following his hiring in July 2024.
Hughes joined the Golden Eagles after a four-year career at Kansas State, playing for head coach Pete Hughes from 2020-23. The Boston, Mass. native played in more than 100 games in his Wildcat career, making 53 total starts.
A stud in the classroom, Hughes was recognised for his prowess as a student throughout his career, earning Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll twice, a spot on the 2019-20 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, and a nod to the 2021 Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
During his high school career, he earned All-State Second Team honors while competing at North Oconee High School in Athen, Ga. He also attended Norman North High School in Norman, Okla.
Hughes earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from Kansas State in December 2024.
