2024 (Junior – Freed-Hardeman): High joined the weekend rotation, making 13 appearances with 12 starts… ended the year with a 7-4 record and 43 strikeouts over 56.0 innings of work… allowed 51 earned runs, 63 hits, and 30 walks… held batters to a .288 average… earned his first win of the season with 5.0 shutout frames and just two hits allowed against Viterbo (Feb. 3)… struck out a career-high nine batters over 5.0 innings of scoreless work with just one walk and three hits versus Texas A&M Texarkana (Feb. 8)… completed a 7.0-inning complete-game shutout with six punch-outs and just one hit allowed against St. Francis [IL] (Feb. 24)… also tossed a season-high 7.0 frames for a complete game at Lindsey Wilson (Mar. 17), fanning three… picked up his seventh victory of the year following 6.0 innings without allowing an earned run at the University of the Cumberlands (Apr. 13)… completed at least 3.0 innings 10 times… fanned at least three batters in eight contests.

2023 (Sophomore – Freed-Hardeman): High appeared in 13 games for Freed-Hardeman, making two starts… delivered a 2-0 record and one save with a 5.76 ERA and 22 strikeouts over 29.2 innings… allowed 19 earned runs, 29 hits, and 20 walks… held opponents to a .242 batting average… saved his best for last, tossing a complete, 9.0-inning game with three earned runs allowed and a season-high seven strikeouts to earn his second win of the year against #3 Georgia Gwinnett (May 17) to force a winner-take-all match-up for a ticket to the Avista College World Series… picked up his first save after tossing 3.0 innings with just one run allowed and two punchouts against Bethel (Apr. 14)… earned his first win of the season following 2.0 frames of scoreless work out of the bullpen against Lindsey Wilson (Apr. 21)… finished more than 1.0 inning in nine appearances… struck out multiple batters seven times.

2022 (R-Freshman – Vol State CC): High made four appearances out of the bullpen for Vol State… finished the year with a 0.00 ERA and five strikeouts over 4.0 innings on the mound… allowed three hits and two walks… fanned 11.25 batters per nine innings… made his first appearance with a shutout frame at Shawnee CC (Mar. 1)… struck out a season-high two batters in an inning of scoreless work against Cumberland University (Mar. 23)… also fanned a pair in an inning of perfect pitching at Cumberland University (Apr. 4).

2021 (Freshman – Union University): High tossed one-third of an inning with one strikeout in his collegiate debut against Lee University (Feb. 7)… surrendered a lead-off triple on a full count to current Tech teammate Riley Black for his first collegiate batter faced… sat out the remainder of the 2021 season as a redshirt due to injury.

High School: High was a two-sport athlete at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tenn., earning four letters as a pitcher and catcher for head baseball coach Brad Coon and as a tight end and defensive end for head football coach Trent Dilfer… led Lipscomb Academy to a district title as a freshman… earned All-Region honors in 2019 and was a 2020 Perfect Game Preseason All-Southeast Region Team member… led the Lipscomb Academy football team to the state semifinals as a senior… awarded All-Region honors in football in 2018 and was selected as the Williamson County First Team Tight End… selected as a U.S. Army Player of the Week for football.

Personal: Son of Emily and Brent High… born in Nashville, Tenn. on October 8, 2001… full name is Houston Walker High… younger brother, Hunter High, is currently a sophomore infielder/outfielder at the University of Tennessee… father, Brent, played baseball and served as an athletics administrator at Lipscomb… mother, Emily, played basketball at Lipscomb from 1994-97, leading the Bisons to three straight NAIA Final Fours, earning NAIA All-American First Team honors, and being inducted into the Lipscomb Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018… was a member of the 2014 Southeast Little League World Series squad.

Academic: Pursuing a master’s degree in professional studies with a concentration in media and strategic communication… earned his bachelor’s degree from Freed-Hardeman in May 2024... named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll once.
