COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech's female student-athletes heard an encouraging message that there are plenty of career options awaiting them when they graduate, a presentation give by two young professional women as part of the Dr. M. Dianne Murphy Leaders for Life Program.
The two speakers, Natalie Ivey and Kristen Marqueztold the
gathering how the doors opened for them after graduation and led
them into careers they had not previously thought about. Ivey is
the Assistant District Attorney General for Tennessee’s
13th Judicial District, while Marquez is the Public
Affairs Officer at Ireland Army Community Hospital at Fort Knox,
Ky.
The Leaders for Life program has included a number of prominent
speakers in the past several years, including its namesake, Dr.
Murphy, in 2011. The most recent speaker was OVC Commissioner Beth
DeBauche, who spoke at the event in October.
