Chuck Cushman is in his 12th year as an assistant athletic trainer for Tennessee Tech and in his fifth season working with the men's basketball team. He is in his first year working with the men's and women's golf teams and previously worked with the Golden Eagle volleyball, softball, and baseball programs. 

He joined the Tech sports medicine staff in 2011-12 as a graduate assistant and was promoted to full-time status in 2013-14.

A native of Marshall, Ill., Cushman worked as an undergrad trainer at Southern Illinois where he tended several teams including the football, baseball and track and field teams. He worked under Southern Illinois trainers Ed Thompson, Lee Land and Kristin Trotter, earning his degree in exercise science, with a focus on athletic training in 2010.
