Marilyn Borch-Jensen is now in her ninth year as the administrative associate for academic advising, working as a member of Dr. Lance Jasitt's staff in providing academic support for all of Tech's student-athletes. Among her duties, Marilyn coordinates book distribution, assists with tutoring, and supervises at study hall sessions.

An Arizona native, she moved to Tennessee from California in 1994, and follows a wide range of interests, including music festivals, bargain hunting at consignment shops and flea markets, antiquing, flower gardening and spending time at the beach, lake or river. She also enjoys traveling back roads and discovering small towns and Tennessee State Parks.

Marilyn and her husband, Mark, have been married 29 years and have two grown daughters, Casey and Jessie, and one grandson, Oakley (1). The family also has one cat, L.J., and a four-year old black lab named Tucker, who fills the role as their empty nest child.
