Will Long is in his first year as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Golden Eagles. He works with the Tennessee Tech baseball, men’s and women’s golf teams while assisting with football and cheer & dance.
Prior to joining the Tech staff, Long graduated from Tennessee Tech in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science, with concentrations in fitness & wellness and exercise physiology.
During his time as an undergraduate, he was a five-year member of the Golden Eagle baseball team, helping lead Tech to become the first team in any sport in school history to beat a No. 1 nationally-ranked team (No. 1 Tennessee, April 2022). Throughout his athletic career, Long served as an intern for the Tech strength and conditioning staff.
Following graduation, he went on to be a sport performance intern at the University of Louisville, where he worked closely with baseball, softball, volleyball, track & field throwers, and field hockey.
Long is recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).
