Emily Johnston joined Tennessee Tech Athletics full-time in Dec. 2019 as a facilities and events coordinator.

In her position at Tech, Johnston serves as the game manager for Tech's home volleyball and softball games, in addition to serving as Tech’s replay technician for all of its home football and basketball contests. She also assists in the maintenance of all of Tech's athletic facilities.

Prior to joining the staff full-time, Johnston served in a couple of roles with Tech Athletics. Johnson most recently served as a facilities & events intern from Jan. 2018 to Dec. 2019, prior to beginning her athletics career as a sports medicine intern with Tech in Aug. 2016.

Johnston earned her bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech in Dec. 2019, majoring in exercise science, physical education, and wellness with a concentration in sports management. During her undergraduate studies at Tech, Johnston was a member of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle marching and concert bands, as well as a member of the national honorary band service fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi.
