Earl Carrier was one of the most versatile athletes in Tech history, participating in five sports from 1929 to 1933 and earning four letters each in football, basketball, and baseball. He also competed one year each in track and tennis. He helped the Golden Eagles win conference championships in football and basketball in 1931 and 1932, serving as captain of the basketball team in 1932. He won the Athletic Medal in 1931 and was also named basketball All-Conference as a forward. Carrier remained active with Tech Athletics for 30 years after graduation.
