From 1933 to 1937, Raymond Brown won fifteen letters in baseball, basketball, football, and track, more than any other athlete in Tech history. Following his playing days, Brown returned to his alma mater in 1947 to coach football, basketball, and golf. His golf teams won the OVC title in 1951, 1953, and 1954. He was inducted into the OVC Hall of Fame in 1980, and the Tennessee Hall of Fame in 1983.
