A defensive lineman with outstanding football instincts, Hand was an All-State selection out of Colleton County High School in Waterboro, S.C. The game of football came naturally for the 6-2, 245 pound Norman Jr., whose father had a nine-year career in the NFL with the Seahawks, Saints, Dolphins, Chargers and Giants. The Tech signee was a McDonald’s All-America nominee and was selected all-region as a junior. Last season he led the Mighty Cougars with 80 total tackles and eight quarterback sacks, and was a two-time Player of the Week before adding All-State honors to his playing resume.
