A 6-foot-2, 225 pound linebacker from Liberty Tech Magnet School in Jackson, Tenn., Dontae earned a host of honors and awards including all-state and team MVP. As a senior, he had 76 total tackles with 12 tackles-for-loss and seven quarterback sacks, and also picked off five passed and returned two for touchdowns. Named the Region 7-AAA Defensive Player of the Year, he played in the Tennessee All-Star game and nominated for the West Tennessee All-Star game. He helped his team allow less than 10 points per game and post the most wins in school history. Voted Most Athletic at his high school, he also plays center on the basketball team.
