COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—The Tennessee Tech volleyball season has just come to a close, and they are already thinking about the future of next season. The Golden Eagles have announced the signing of Elizabeth Bossong to next year's squad. 

"Liz has a great instinct for the game," head coach Dave Zelenock remarked. "She has gotten so much better skill wise in the last two years that we expect her to find a way on the court as a freshman. Kids who can see the game and respond like Liz always find a way to get on the floor. Adding her to our core of the back court is only going to make us deeper and stronger in that position." 

Bossong is a native of Tennessee hailing from Murfreesboro. She was a three-year letter winner from Siegel High School serving as her team's libero and defensive specialist under head coach Shawn Robinson. 

"I chose TTU because the program that the coaches are building seems to fit me as a player," newly signed Golden Eagle Liz Bossong remarked about becoming a part of the Tech family. "The coaches and players made me feel wanted and I'm excited to be a part of the Golden Eagle family. TTU also has an excellent nursing program to challenge me academically. I'm excited about next season and contributing in any way that I can." 

While at Siegel, Bossong compiled an 86-14 career and 24-0 conference record. She posted a school record 1,058 career digs and a career record of 108 service aces, while also grabbing another school record for digs in a match with 41. Bossong led her team to three district tiles (2013-15), three region titles (2013-15) and three third place state finishes (2013-15) throughout her career.

Bossong was named to the 2015 All-District and All-Tournament team as well as received 2015 AVCA Under Armor All-American accolades. 

Elizabeth is the daughter of John and Vivian Bossong. She was born February 12, 1998 and intends to major in nursing while at Tech.
