COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After three matches in two days this past weekend at the Big Orange Bash, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team opens its 2010 home schedule Tuesday as it takes on the Belmont Bruins, at 7 p.m.
“Belmont is off to a quick start and they usually start
fast,” head coach John Blair said. “They are well
coached and we expect a dogfight from them.”
The match will be the first home event on campus since the
students have returned for the 2010-11 academic year.
The Golden Eagles own a 9-2 record against Belmont all-time
including a 3-0 sweep of the Bruins in their last meeting back in
2007. The Bruins own a 2-1 record on the season, including a 3-0
sweep of OVC rival Jacksonville State.
