COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Fans who cannot attend the Ohio Valley
Conference Volleyball Tournament at Morehead State this week can
still follow the Golden Eagles throughout their bid for a league
title. All of Tech's matches in the tournament will be broadcast on
the Golden Eagle Sports Network via Free Teamline, with games
available on either the Internet or the telephone.
Former Golden Eagle player and coach Mandy (Miller) Thatcher and
Sports Information Intern Nick Burns will be courtside in Morehead
to call the action. The broadcast will begin with five minutes
prior to the opening serve, so matches on Thursday and Friday can
be heard beginning at 3:25 p.m. CT. The championship match will air
at 3:55 p.m. on Saturday.
Tech opens the tournament Thursday against Jacksonville State. The
Golden Eagles, playing in the OVC Tourney for the fourth
consecutive year, are bidding for their second tournament title in
three years and the league's automatic invitation to the NCAA
Tournament.
