Tech women's basketball adds 5-8 guard Chloe Larry

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Back in her native Louisiana, Chloe Larry is nicknamed "the Silent Assassin," and for good reason – she's deadly from nearly everywhere on the court and lets her game do the talking.

Larry also knows how to win championships, helping lead Coach Gloria Williams and the  Parkway Lady Panthers to a 2023 Louisiana Division I state championship.

She'll be a great fit for the Tennessee Tech women's basketball team as she signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday and will suit up for the Purple and Gold in the 2024-25 campaign.

"Chloe is a tough, physical player that can play multiple guard positions," said Tech head coach Kim Rosamond. "She is an athletic, quick guard that can get to the rim as well as knock down the 3. She is a tenacious defender and has been part of a championship program in high school. She wins on the court, in the classroom, and sets a great example in the community. Our fans will love what Chloe Larry brings to Tennessee Tech basketball."

Larry, entering her senior campaign at Parkway this season, just continues to get better. In her freshman campaign, she averaged 13.8 points. Her junior season: 15 points, four assists and four steals per game. When you consider Larry was sharing the spotlight with LSU signee Mikaylah Williams and still putting up those numbers, Larry is something special indeed.

The 5-8 guard is also a three-sport athlete, competing in softball and track and field. On the court, she is highly decorated, earning a second-team all-district nod, two first-team all-parish selections, two first-team all-metro picks, a second-team all-state honor and an LGR Division I non-select all-state first-team selection. She was also named to the all-state tournament team.

In softball, Larry was named all-district and all-parish first team, the team's most valuable player with a .700 batting average, collected an all-state nod and was a highly-ranked prospect at first base. Competing in the javelin, she won two district titles, finished third in the regionals and was the state runner-up.

"I chose to sign with Tennessee Tech because of the energy of the team and the positive atmosphere they have to offer," Larry said. "I feel like Tennessee Tech will help me grow daily in all areas of my life by being around like-minded people. Winning is always important, and with the standards TTU WBB has set, they will continue to be a winning program. I can't wait to contribute and be part of it."

She played travel basketball with Mavs Elite.

Larry is the daughter of Jarvis and Suprina Larry. Her father, Jarvis, played baseball for the Ragin' Cajuns at Louisiana. Her brother, Amani, is a member of the baseball team at Mississippi State.

The Golden Eagle signee plans to study kinesiology with an interest in starting her own coaching career.
