Meet the Golden Eagles set for Oct. 21

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – To help ring in the 2017-18 season, Tennessee Tech women's basketball will host its annual "Meet the Golden Eagles" day on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Hooper Eblen Center.

Fans are welcome to attend Tech's open practice and scrimmage for a look at this year's team and stay for a meet and greet with Tech players and coaches to close out the morning.

The program will also introduce its new "Biscuits & Basketball" initiative, providing free Chick-fil-A breakfast biscuits and beverages for fans throughout the morning.

MEET THE GOLDEN EAGLES SCHEDULE

8 a.m. – 10 a.m. – open practice

10 a.m. – 10:20 a.m. – scrimmage

10:20 a.m. – 11 a.m. – team meet and greet

Tech begins team practice on Monday, Oct. 2 and will open the season with a home exhibition game vs. Tusculum College on Sunday, Nov. 5.

The Golden Eagles are coming off their first season led by head coach Kim Rosamond, where they appeared in the OVC Tournament for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign. Tech returns six players to this season's roster, including All-OVC first-team member Yaktavia "Shug" Hickson, and welcomes nine newcomers.
