COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech basketball programs will take to the road, as both the men's and women's Golden Eagle squads host off-site practices at Pickett County High School in Byrdstown, Tenn. for the second-straight year on Friday, Oct. 20.

The Tech men's team will kick off the evening with their practice scheduled to start at 4 p.m. The women's team will follow at the conclusion of the men's session.

"It's a privilege to go back to Pickett County," head men's coach Steve Payne said. "We're just very appreciative of everyone at Pickett County High School for helping us set it up, for the hospitality they always show and their assistance in helping us develop Golden Eagle basketball fans there. This was a great experience for our players last year and I know it will be again."

"We're excited to return to Byrdstown, give them a glimpse of this year's team and interact with our fans," head women's coach Kim Rosamond explained. "The Tech fan base extends beyond Cookeville, and it's important to us to reach out to our supporters throughout the Upper Cumberland."

The Golden Eagle women are slated to kick off 2017-18 regular season on Friday, Nov. 10 with a home contest against Tennessee Wesleyan at 5:30 p.m. CT. The squad will also host Tusculum College on Sunday, Nov. 5 in a 2 p.m. exhibition match-up.

The Tech men's team also gets its 2017-18 campaign underway with a home contest on Friday, Nov. 10, playing host to Midway University at 7:30 p.m.
