Rosamond to represent OVC as panelist for Women Coaches Regional Workshop in Nashville

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference has partnered with the Alliance of Women Coaches to host a Women Coaches Regional Workshop on Tuesday, August 1 in Nashville. Tennessee Tech head women's basketball coach Kim Rosamond will serve as one of six highly distinguished panelists representing the OVC for the event.

The Alliance of Women Coaches provides one-day regional training programs for women coaches, administrators and interested students across the country. These seminars focus on relevant issues and common challenges and offer practical ideas that can be implemented immediately.

The event is from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CT at Belmont University. All levels of coaches (pro, college, high school and club/youth) are welcome. The cost is $70 and includes breakfast and lunch.

Joining Rosamond at the event associated with the OVC will be OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche, Southeast Missouri State Sr. Associate Athletic Director/SWA Cindy Gannon and head women's basketball coach Rekha Patterson, Tennessee State Director of Athletics Teresa Phillips and Eastern Illinois head volleyball coach/SWA Sam Wolinski.

Rosamond and Patterson will present "Dream Job: Get It or Love It" with Stephanie White, Head Women's Basketball Coach, Vanderbilt, and Dana Drew Shaw, Attorney, Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP.

Gannon and Patterson will be among women coaches and administrators from the OVC, Southeastern Conference, and Conference USA who will be presenting on topics related to networking, achieving a dream job, lessons on building a championship team, leadership, mental health and athlete well-being, and building positive relationships with administration.

The workshop will begin with opening remarks from Ann Walker, Director of Events and Communication, Alliance of Women Coaches, and DeBauche.

Gannon, Philips and Wolinski will join Diane Thurman, Associate AD/SWA, Middle Tennessee State to present "Building a Positive Relationship with Your Administrator".

The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. M. Dianne Murphy. A complete schedule of events can be found at the link at the top of the page.
