BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- With the Tennessee Tech football team earning the Homecoming win on Saturday, the Golden Eagles earned some rewards on Sunday.

True freshman quarterback Bailey Fisher split the Ohio Valley Conference's Offensive Player of the Week honor with Southeast Missouri senuir running back Marquis Terry. The honor was voted on by the league's sports information contacts.

Fisher put together an impressive 304 yards of total offense in the win over Murray State with three touchdowns -- one rushing and two passing -- as he helped lead the Golden Eagles to their first victory in the 2018 campaign and snap an 11-game losing streak.

He passed for 228 yards and two touchdowns as he completed 21 of his 34 passes, then led the Golden Eagles on the ground with 76 yards on 16 carries. He threw a 20-yard touchdown to Melvin Holland Jr. on the game's opening drive, ran for a 19-yard touchdown on the next drive, then found Darrius Stafford for a 43-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter.

Terry ran for 107 yards and a touchdown and caught six passes for 76 yards and another score as SEMO defeated Tennessee State 38-21 on Saturday.

Also nominated were Jacksonville State's Jamari Hester, Murray State's Drew Anderson and Tennessee State's Te'dendrick Roberson.

Fisher has passed for 1,613 yards and 11 touchdowns in his freshman campaign, completing 132 of his 254 attempts. He ranks second in a single-season by a Tech freshman QB and the most by a true freshman. Redshirt freshman QB Lee Sweeney holds the top spot, throwing for 2,292 yards and 17 TDs in 2006.

The Golden Eagles (1-8, 1-5 OVC) hit the road for the final time in the 2018 season on Saturday as they head to UT Martin.
