Clear bag policy in place at Nissan Stadium this weekend for Tech football at TSU

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Fans traveling to Nissan Stadium in Nashville this weekend for Tennessee Tech's football game at Tennessee State, please be aware that the facility has a clear bag policy in place.

The facility encourages fans not to bring in bags of any kind to help expedite the entry process, but if personal items are brought in, the following bags are acceptable:

  • Clear bags 12" x 12" x 6" or smaller.
  • Non-transparent bags mist be approximately the size of a hand (5.5" x 8.5")

 

Non-transparent bags are still subject to inspection by security personnel at the gates.

The following items are not allowed:

  • Non-transparent bags larger than 5.5" x 8.5"
  • Coolers or containers, including glass bottles, cans (aerosol and non-aerosol), thermos, hard plastic tumbler
  • Metal flasks, metal cigar/cigarette cages
  • Seat cushions, folding and/or standalone chairs
  • Umbrellas
  • Strollers or baby seats
  • Camera lenses over 6", video cameras/recording devices, tripods
  • Poles, selfie sticks, sticks of any kind
  • Drones, unmanned aircraft
  • Horns, whistles or other noisemakers
  • Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives
  • Outside food/beverages
  • Illegal drugs or substances, any alcoholic beverages
  • Animals, except service animals assisting guests with disabilities
  • Footballs, inflatable balls, balloons
  • Battery-operated warmers are not permitted in clothing or blankets
  • Any headware or apparel with hazardous attachments including, but not limited to, spikes and blades
  • Lights (flashlights, LED lights, any battery-operated lights)
  • Anything that creates a nuisance or disruption.

For the protection of fans, prohibited items cannot be stored by Nissan Stadium personnel. All unattended items including, but not limited to, backpacks, bicycles, strollers and umbrellas will be disposed of.

Nissan Stadium employs magnetometers at every point of entry. Fans are to place personal belongings (keys, cell phones, purses smaller than 5.5" x 8.5" and small cameras) in the bowl or clear bag on the security screening table, then proceed through the magnetometer. Clear bags should also be placed on the table for bag search.
