COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech baseball senior Andrew O'Dwyer hauled in his first career Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week honors Monday afternoon, fresh off the best outing of his two-year Golden Eagle career.
With Senior Day festivities looming at the conclusion of game one of Tech's Friday doubleheader with Morehead State, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings while holding the potent Eagle offense to just three hits and two walks.
He struck out a career-high 10 batters in the contest, including punching out the side once, to garner his team-high third victory of the season. Tech would go on to claim the series 2-1 to keep its postseason hopes alive with one week remaining in the regular season.
