Tech baseball to host Alumni Weekend Saturday, Oct. 27

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Tech baseball team will host its annual Fall Baseball Alumni Weekend this Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex. All former Golden Eagle players, coaches, managers and other alumni are encouraged to come on out and participate in a fun-filled afternoon, highlighted by an exhibition contest between Tech and Alabama-Huntsville.

Gates will open at noon, and we will have tailgating for all alumni and player parents down the third base line set up with burgers, hot dogs and all the fixings. Home batting practice starts at 12:35 p.m. CT. This is a great chance for you to meet the current team. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. After the game join the team at San Antonio Taco Company on Washington Ave. in Cookeville.

If you are visiting from out of town, the Quality Inn located at 970 South Jefferson Ave. in Cookeville (formerly Clarion Inn) is offering a great alumni rate of $75 a night. Please call 931-526-7125 and ask for the Tech Baseball Alumni Weekend rate.
