COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the start of the Tennessee Tech soccer season rapidly approaching, the Golden Eagles are in the midst of putting the finishing touches on the 2015 roster as the program is proud to announce the signing of Dani Robb, an incoming freshman forward out of Papillion, Neb.

Robb joins an already promising recruiting class that saw seven new members ink the dotted line to their Tech tenure during the initial signing period back in early February.

"We are thrilled to have Dani join our team," second-year head coach Steve Springthorpe claimed on the latest addition to the club. "We are excited that we have been able to find an attacking player of her quality at such a late time in the recruiting cycle. Dani brings an aggressive attacking and goal scoring mentality to the game that will fit right in with how we want our attacking front three to play. We look forward to her arrival in a few weeks."

Robb comes to Golden Eagles with a stout resume that includes success at the high school, club, and Olympic Development Program in Nebraska. The 5-foot-2 forward lettered four years at Papillion La Vista South High School in Papillion, Neb. where she helped guide her team to two Metro championships and three District runner-up finishes. As a senior, Robb tallied 17 points with three goals and 11 assists.

She mirrored similar results at the club and Olympic Development Program level, taking home a slew of championships in both circuits. In five years at the club level, Robb played a pivotal role in her squad's U18 Nebraska State Cup finalist appearance, U17 US Club Soccer National Premier League championship, U16 Nebraska State Cup championship, U16 Mid-West Regional League championship, and U13 Nebraska State Cup championship.

During her days as a member of the Nebraska State team in the Olympic Development Program, Robb served as a catalyst in leading her team to an international tournament championship in Denmark. In the championship match, the Papillion, Neb. native scored the game-winning goal and notched three assists as well.

The Golden Eagles kick off the 2015 campaign with a home exhibition matchup Aug. 14 against Alabama A&M, before officially opening the regular season at home against Arkansas-Little Rock on Aug. 21. Admission to all of TTU's home matches at Tech Soccer Field is free of charge.
