Tech closes regular season at Brickyard Collegiate

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team closes out the regular season with two days of competition at the Brickyard Collegiate Monday and Tuesday, playing at the Brickyard Golf Club in Macon, Ga.

BRICKYARD COLLEGIATE: Apr. 10-11, 2023 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,171-yard Brickyard Golf Club in Macon, Ga. Play will begin Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:00 a.m. CT. 

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are freshman Kaydi Rhodes, senior Elisabeth Toennessen, junior Ainsley Simms, senior Gittle Sciolis, and senior Katrine Toennessen. Competing as individuals are sophomore Reagan Stuke, senior Makenzie Morton, and freshman Sydney Branson.

THE COMPETITION: The eight-team field consists of host Mercer, as well as Cincinnati, Memphis, Seminole State, Southern Illinois, Tennessee Tech, Troy, and UIW.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH AMANDA SMITH: "We showed nice growth at Pinetree last week and I know the ladies are itching to apply what they've learned as we head back to Georgia for our final tune-up before Conference. We're excited to compete again and I'm looking forward to seeing how our team responds from last week's improvements."
