Purple and gold continue spring slate at Pinetree Women's Collegiate

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team travels south for its next challenge on the links, competing at Kennesaw State's Pinetree Women's Collegiate presented by Henssler Financial at Pinetree Country Club Monday and Tuesday.

PINETREE WOMEN'S COLLEGIATE: Apr. 3-4, 2023 – 54 holes (36 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,120-yard Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Ga. Play will begin Monday with split tee times starting at 7:00 a.m. CT. 

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are junior Ainsley Simms, senior Elisabeth Toennessen, freshman Kaydi Rhodes, senior Katrine Toennessen, and sophomore Reagan Stuke.

THE COMPETITION: The 12-team field consists of host Kennesaw State, as well as Auburn, Delaware, High Point, Monmouth, Niagara, Northern Illinois, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, Stetson, Tennessee Tech, and UIW.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH AMANDA SMITH: "After a tough finish at our last event, the ladies are ready to fire it up for Kennesaw. This course is a true test and will get us prepared for the outline of RTJ Fighting Joe to come at the OVC Championships. They know the work that needs to be put in and they are willing to commit every round. We're looking forward to heading down to Pinetree."
