COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team continues its road stand this week as they head to Mississippi State University on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT.

This is the first time the Golden Eagles will face the MSU Bulldogs in program history.

However against current Southeastern Conference opponents, the Golden Eagles have an all-time record of 34-70. The only two programs that the Golden Eagles hold a winning record over are Vanderbilt (10-7) and Arkansas (1-0). Tech will face up with Arkansas this season on Dec. 20.

After the first two games of the season, Tech leads the conference in points scored per game (82.0). They also lead in field goal percentage (.438) and three-point percentage (.395). Junior Diamond Henderson is currently ranked 10th in points per game (16.0) and first in three-point field goal percentage (.667), senior Molly Heady is second in three-point field goal percentage (.625), junior T'Keyah Williams is fifth in rebounds per game (9.0), and junior Candace Parson is second in field goal percentage (.600).
The Golden Eagles are looking to bounce back after a 118-71 loss at the hands of host Akron last Tuesday. Henderson scored 20 points in the match-up, her first 20-point game of the season. Look for Henderson to continue to get herself involved in the offense as well as getting her teammates involved.

The game against Mississippi State will be broadcast live on 106.1 The Eagle and will by called by the Golden Eagle Sports Network's very own Dylan Vazzano.
