Golden Eagle basketball team to be honored at halftime Thursday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team will be honored for its Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship on Thursday during halftime of the football game versus UT Martin.

The Golden Eagles went 12-4 in conference play to secure the program's 18th regular season championship. Tech was led by sophomore Diamond Henderson, who averaged 16 points and was named to the All-OVC team, as well as seniors Jala Harris, Kellie Cook, and junior Molly Heady.

The Golden Eagles are in the midst of their preseason practices and look to open up play on Nov. 5 at the Eblen Center in an exhibition game versus Truett-McConnell.
