COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Following two of the better performances of his career, Tennessee Tech men's basketball senior Torrance Rowe was rewarded for his efforts after claiming his second adidas® OVC Player of the Week honors of the season.

Putting the Golden Eagle squad on his back, the point guard led his team to back-to-back road victories in OVC play, extending Tech's perfect start to league play to four games. TTU defeated Murray State on the road for the first time since the 2004-05 season, snapping a 17-game conference win streak and 17-game home win streak in league play by the Racers.

In the contest, Rowe established a new program record by making all 15 of his free throw attempts, the most by a Golden Eagle knocking down 100 percent of his shots from the charity stripe. He tallied a game-high 25 points while playing all 40 minutes in the contest.

The Atlanta, Ga. native followed up a brilliant outing with an even better performance at Austin Peay. Rowe drilled his first four 3-point attempts in the game, finishing 6-for-11 from beyond the arc and becoming the first Tech player to hit six or more from deep since Kevin Murphy hit seven against Murray State in 2012. He tallied another game-high scoring total with 27 points and also led all players with seven assists while again playing every minute for the Golden Eagles.

For the week the Tech captain averaged 26 points and 4.5 assists over 40.0 minutes per game while shooting 50 percent from the field (14-of-28), 53.3 percent from downtown (8-of-15) and 94.1 percent from the charity stripe (16-of-17).

Rowe also took home the league's top weekly honor on Nov. 30 after leading Tech to a 4-0 week and averaging 18.8 points, 5.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles will look to remain perfect in OVC play with a road trip to in-state rival UT Martin Wednesday evening. The contest is set for a 6 p.m. CST tip.
