COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – There will be a wide assortment of activities for fans at Tennessee Tech's scrimmages this August as the Golden Eagles will host clinics and events.

First up is a Tech Football Women's Clinic for women ages 12 and up on August 12, starting at 9 a.m. Join Dewayne Alexander and the Golden Eagle coaching staff as they go over the fundamentals of the sport and explain some of the inner workings of the game.

There will be donuts and coffee for attendees as well as giveaways. The event is limited to the first 100 to register.

Also on August 12 at 9 a.m., the Tech Spirit Squads will host a Mini Camp. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with the event running from 9-10.

This camp, for grades K-6, is limited to the first 50 registrants. For more information on the Spirit Squad Mini Camp, e-mail Tech Spirit Squads coach Sydney Hickerson at shickerson@tntech.edu.

The Mini Camp will prepare participants for the Gameday Camp on October 21. The August session will see the participants learn a gameday dance and sideline cheers from the TTU Spirit Squad. Each participant will receive a free pompom, stickers and temporary tattoos. Awesome Eagle will be available for photos.

Participants are asked to bring water and wear closed-toe shoes. Mini Camp participants will receive priority registration for the October 21 Gameday Camp.

Finally, the annual Gathering of Eagles will be held on Saturday, August 19. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and fans will get the opportunity to get free hot dogs and Pepsi products while supplies last. There will also be music and a bounce house on site.

The Gathering of Eagles scrimmage will begin at 5 p.m. Fans will be able to meet the 2023 Golden Eagles and get autographs following the scrimmage.
