COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – For the fourth week out of the five this season, the Tennessee Tech football team has earned another national honor from the Football Championship Subdivision media sources.

This time it was senior linebacker Aderick Moore, earning the FCS National Defensive Player of the Week from College Sports Madness. After missing a week after an injury against Virginia-Wise, the Selma, Ala., native created three takeaways as he forced two fumbles, intercepted a pass for 20 yards, had a quarterback hurry and a tackle-for-loss to go along with his seven stops.

Moore this season has 36 total tackles with a sack and 2.5 for-loss, an interception, a pass breakup, a QB hurry and two forced fumbles.

Sophomore quarterback Bailey Fisher was also named the Ohio Valley Conference's Co-Offensive Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Austin Peay QB JaVaughn Craig, who had five touchdowns en route to the Governors' 52-33 win over Jacksonville State.

Fisher threw for a Tech-record six touchdown passes as he completed 22 of his 34 throws for 268 yards, while also rushing 13 times for 29 yards. Along the way, Fisher moved into ninth in the Tech career passing list and 10th in total offense.

It is the third OVC honor for Fisher this season and the second straight week. It is the seventh OVC honor for the Golden Eagles this year with Seth Carlisle earning Defensive Player of the Week honors last week and Metrius Fleming earning three Newcomer of the Week honors.

So far, Moore's is the sixth national honor for the Golden Eagles. Fisher earned a National Offensive Player of the Week in Week 1 and an honorable mention last week, as well as two honorable mention National Freshman of the Week nods for Fleming from STATS FCS, while Fisher was the FCS National Offensive Player of the Week last week from College Sports Madness.

The Golden Eagles (4-1, 1-0 OVC) return to action on Saturday as they close out their three-game road trip at Southeast Missouri (2-2, 0-0 OVC). Kickoff from Cape Girardeau is set for 6 p.m.
