MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - With new faces spanning all the way from the goalie box to the bench, to the coaching staff, the Tennessee Tech soccer team took one step towards familiarizing itself together Thursday evening in an exhibition match against Middle Tennessee.

Nineteen players saw action in the contest, a match that ultimately ended in a 4-0 victory for the Blue Raiders. Included in those receiving playing time were eight freshman. Karigan Owens and Lauren Brewer each tallied shots, helping rack up the team total of five for the match.

Senior forward Amanda Koch led the Golden Eagles with two shot attempts on the night, looking strong after missing the majority of the 2013 season with a knee injury.

Sophomore goalkeeper Allison Barlow collected three saves in just 15 minutes of action after subbing in late in the match.

The Golden Eagles will open the 2014 season with a home contest against East Tennessee State on Sunday, Aug. 24.
