COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Kick off your Halloween festivities by stopping by Tech Soccer Field Friday for the first ever Socc`Oween, as the Tennessee Tech soccer team hosts Jacksonville State in the 2014 season finale, beginning at 3 p.m. CT.

The Golden Eagles (2-14-2, 0-7-2) will be decked out in black for the occasion, debuting their black uniforms for Halloween afternoon, and fans are encouraged to do the same or come dressed in their favorite costume. There will also be a table set up at the entrance for Tech's younger fans, equipped with candy and Golden Eagle prizes to start off Halloween on the right foot.

For those that can't make it out to Tech Soccer Field, the match will be streamed live on the Ohio Valley Conference Digital Network via the Golden Eagle Sports Network with Dylan Vazzano calling all the action. CLICK HERE TO WATCH.

Tech comes into the season-ending tilt with recent success over the Gamecocks (9-9-0, 5-4-0), having lost just once since 2009, with two victories and a tie mixed in there as well. Last year's match between the two squads went double overtime before ending in a scoreless draw, more or less a microcosm of the all-time series.

This year's Golden Eagles will be looking to bounce back after a tough weekend at home in their last two matches, a pair of 2-0 losses to the top two teams in the conference in Southeast Missouri and SIU Edwardsville. Senior goalkeeper Rebecca Toler made a combined 15 saves in the two tilts, helping her climb the OVC ranks to fourth in the league with 87 stops on the year.

Toler is one of five TTU seniors that will be playing in their final collegiate match, joining Amanda Koch, Hayley Morton, Katie Phillips, and Kelsey McGohan.

Jacksonville State heads to Cookeville having already secured a spot in the OVC Tournament (Nov. 6-9), currently sitting in fifth place with the top six teams making the tourney. After outscoring their opponents 14-4 as part of a four-match win streak, the Gamecocks dropped back-to-back affairs to the aforementioned top two teams in the OVC in SEMO and SIUE by a combined 5-1 margin over the weekend.

JSU possesses nine different players with at least three goals, led by the trio of red-shirt junior Courtney Hurt's 10, junior Kelsey Bright's nine, and senior Jackie Rush's eight. Hurt also leads the club with eight assists and 28 points which put her among the leaders in the conference.

Admission to Friday's match is free of charge.
