COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As the 2021-22 campaign quickly approaches, the Tennessee Tech women's golf team is prepared for its first taste of action in the fall since 2019. Newly minted head coach Amanda Smith released the team's official fall schedule Friday afternoon.

"This upcoming season is truly a blessing," Smith expressed. "Our ladies didn't have a chance to play last fall, so this will be a great test to see all the hard training they have been putting in this summer. We are still keeping our eyes on the process, but to be able to travel and challenge ourselves at these tough events will surely prepare us. These ladies are coming back fully ready to work hard and get better every day."

On tap first for the purple and gold in the fall is a trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. and the Golfweek Fall Invitational. The three-day event, hosted by Golfweek, is set to run from Sept. 12-14 at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. This marks the fourth time Tech will take part in the fall event in the past 10 seasons, most recently competing in 2018-19.

Following a week off from the links, the Golden Eagles return to action with the APSU Intercollegiate Sept. 27-28. Ohio Valley Conference rival Austin Peay's annual event will feature a new location this season, with competition set to take place in Springfield, Tenn. at The Legacy Golf Course. Tech has produced top-four finishes in each of the past three times it has taken part in the Govs' fall event.

Shifting into October, the Chris Banister Fall Classic in Gadsden, Ala. will span three days of competition at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Silver Lakes. Running from Oct. 10-12, the Golden Eagles will go to work at Jacksonville State's event for the fifth straight year (not counting 2020 when the fall campaign was cancelled due to COVID-19).

Concluding the first semester with Smith at the helm of the program, the Golden Eagles will travel back to South Carolina for the Terrier Intercollegiate. Hosted by Wofford at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, the purple and gold return to an event it last competed in during the 2017-18 season.
