COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The next adventure for the Tennessee Tech track & field team comes Saturday when coach Tony Cox takes his squad to Bowling Green, Ky., for the Hilltopper Relays, hosted by Western Kentucky University. The action will take place at the Charles M. Ruter Track Complex.
The Hilltopper Relays will begin Friday at 4 p.m. (CT) with the men's and women's hammer throw and continue Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with field events. Running events will kick off at 11 a.m. with the 5,000-meter run and the meet will conclude around 5 p.m.
In addition to Tech and WKU, the field will include a dozen other schools, including Marshall, Central Michigan, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, Eastern Illinois, IUPUI, Grand Valley State, Birmingham Southern, Murray State, Kentucky State and Campbellsville.
In their most recent outing at the Wofford Terrier Relays, the Golden Eagles established seven personal best marks and posted nine Top 5 finishes, including two each from juniors Rebecca Cline and Kelli Keck. Other Top 5 efforts came from Peri Winborne, Chelsea Mills, Lacy Yslas and Landry Loving.
