LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Following an emotional comeback win in five sets on Friday, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat by Ohio Valley Conference foe Little Rock Saturday afternoon at the Jack Stephens Center.

After winning the final three sets of Friday's match, the Golden Eagles looked to ride that momentum into the rematch against the Trojans on Saturday. The home squad was ready for the fight, holding the Cookeville crew to .020 efficiency on the attack throughout.

Little Rock took the opening set, 25-13, as the purple and gold struggled to find its form. Tech turned in six kills with 10 errors in the first game, while the Trojans hit .286 with eight kills.

The Golden Eagles fought back in the second set of the day, taking a three-point lead at 18-15. Little Rock answered and took a 24-23 lead to the end before finishing things off for a 25-23 victory. Both sides tallied 13 terminations, but a two-block advantage to the Trojans provided the difference in the set.

The home squad kept pressing on the gas pedal down the stretch, closing out the day with a 25-11 win in the third game of the day. The Golden Eagles posted seven kills and six mistakes while the Trojans were cleaner with 10 kills and three errors.

Outside hitter Madolyn Isringhausen led the match with 11 kills, securing six digs and an ace for the effort as well. Freshman right side Ava Schubert tallied six kills with a block while middle blocker Elena Wallace registered two rejections.

Setter Jordan Karlen earned her fifth double-double of the season after tallying team-highs of 19 assists and 13 digs.

Tech returns home to play host to Lindenwood for the first time in program history, looking to avenge its loss to the Lions in last year's OVC Tournament in Martin, Tenn. The two squads will square off at 6:00 p.m. CT on Friday, Oct. 6 and follow it up with a 2:00 p.m. meeting on Saturday, Oct. 7.
