BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Following a pair of school-record breaking performances, senior Lisa Wickham and freshman Lyn'Nikka Vance were named Ohio Valley Conference Athletes of the Week, announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Wickham was named OVC Female Track Athlete of the Week, while Vance earned Field Athlete of the Week based on their performances at the Buccaneer Invite in Johnson City, Tenn. this past weekend. The honors mark the second of the season for Wickham and the first career honor for Vance.

Wickham produced another record-breaking weekend as she turned in a blazing 7.28-second performance in the 60-meter dash. Her mark surpassed her previous season and career-best of 7.32 seconds by four-hundredths of a second to set a new program record, ranking her first in the OVC this year and 14th in the nation in the 60-meters.

In her second career meet as a Golden Eagle, Vance produced stellar performances in both the long jump and the 60-meter dash. She claimed the long jump individual crown at the Buccaneer Invite with a tremendous 6.01m (19' 8¾") leap, setting a new school record and becoming the first Golden Eagle to surpass the six-meter mark. The Monee, Ill. native's performance ranks at the top of the OVC so far this season and places her 53rd in NCAA Division I.

In the 60-meter dash, Vance turned in an impressive 7.51-second performance, placing her second at the Buccaneer Invite, only behind current Tech record holder Wickham.

The Golden Eagles will next compete at the Samford Invitational on Feb. 15 in Birmingham, Ala.
