COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the first cross country meet of the 2017 season approaching, the Tennessee Tech cross country and track & field coaching staff is now accepting applications from Tech students interested in trying out for the men's and women's teams.
Prospective applicants must be enrolled full-time at Tennessee Tech for the fall 2017 semester, own a minimum GPA of 2.5 and not be on academic warning or probation. They also must be certified by the NCAA Clearinghouse and meet NCAA eligibility standards.
Applicants who meet these requirements should email head coach Wayne Angel at wangel@tntech.edu with their name, email address, phone number, gender, event(s), personal-best marks, high school name and year of high school graduation.
The coaching staff will review applications, and those who are approved will receive a follow-up email with additional tryout information.
