Tech men's golf team kicks off 2022-23 campaign at Golfweek Fall Challenge

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team will kick off the 2022-23 campaign with a trio of rounds at the Golfweek Fall Challenge at True Blue Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Golden Eagles will compete Sunday through Tuesday.

GOLFWEEK FALL CHALLENGE: Sept. 11-13, 2022 – 54 holes (18 Sunday, 18 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,921-yard True Blue Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Play will begin Sunday with 18 holes of action. Tech will compete in one more round each on Monday and Tuesday to conclude the event.

GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are junior Mark McDearman, sophomore Jackson Skeen, junior Sean Anderson, senior Chance Taylor, and freshman Haden Maxwell. Competing as an individual is sophomore Alexander Bassel.

THE COMPETITION: The 13-team field consists of Austin Peay, Coastal Carolina, Delaware, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville State, Presbyterian, Queens of Charlotte, Samford, Southern Indiana, Stephen F. Austin, Temple, Tennessee Tech, and Wright State.

THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH POLK BROWN: "It's hard to believe the start of the fall season is already upon us. The guys have put in some great work over the first several weeks and are ready to compete at a very familiar place in True Blue. We are thankful for this opportunity and look forward to the challenge ahead."
