JONESBORO, Ark. - Tennessee Tech is one of 19 schools that will
compete Monday and Tuesday at the 54-hole Red Wolf Intercollegiate,
hosted by Arkansas State University at RidgePointe Country Club in
Jonesboro.
Seven Ohio Valley Conference teams are included in the 19-team
gathering, including Austin Peay, Belmont, Eastern Illinois, SIUE,
Tennessee-Martin, Tennessee State, and Tennessee Tech.
The large tournament field will begin play Monday with a shotgun
start at 8:30 a.m., with the second round to follow immediately.
The final round is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Par is 72 with yardage set at 6,565 at RidgePointe.
The Golden Eagles finished seventh at the Bobby Nichols
Intercollegiate, March 18-19, at the Sevierville Golf Course.
Freshman Adam Cuningham was Tech's top finisher in that 36-hole,
rain-shortened event.
Cunningham and senior Greg Kitts will be competing this week as
individuals for the Golden Eagles, while coach Polk Brown's lineup,
determined by qualifying play last week, will feature Lee Maxwell,
Mitch Thomas, Lee Whitehead, Bryce Kendrick and Maxx Verble.
