COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's basketball team returns to the comfort of the Hooper Eblen Center for an in-state clash with Chattanooga Wednesday evening, squaring off with the Mocs in a 6:00 p.m. affair.

Fans can follow the action via radio on 106.1 The Eagle with Roger Ealey on the call or stream the game on ESPN+ with Dylan Vazzano and Frank Harrell providing coverage.

Chattanooga comes into the match-up at 3-3 on the year without back-to-back losses or wins this season. The Mocs bested Tech's former Ohio Valley Conference rival Murray State on Saturday, edging the Racers 69-66 at home in McKenzie Arena.

It marked Chattanooga's first win over a Division I opponent on the year with the team's two other victories coming at the hands of Oakland City University and Covenant College. The Mocs have dropped tilts at the College of Charleston, at Ole Miss, and against Lipscomb.

Wednesday's contest will mark the 64th meeting between the two in-state rivals all time, with Tech holding a commanding 42-21 advantage in the series. The Golden Eagles boast a 28-7 mark when competing at home against the Mocs, despite losing each of the past two competed in the Eblen Center.

The Golden Eagles head into the game after a heart-wrenching defeat in double overtime at the hands of Northern Kentucky Sunday afternoon. The back-and-forth battle saw the Norse eventually pull away in the second extra session thanks to a perfect 4-for-4 showing from distance and 5-for-5 effort from the floor, leading to a misleading 85-77 final score.

Junior guard Brett Thompson led the Tech effort with a season-high 19 points and added six rebounds to the mix. Graduate forward Jaylen Sebree collected his second double-double of the year with 15 points and a team-high 10 boards. Junior guard Jayvis Harvey chipped in 10 points and four assists off the bench.

Northern Kentucky's Marques Warrick boasted a career day, finishing with an eye-popping 45 points on 18-for-31 shooting and a 5-for-10 performance from beyond the arc. Chris Brandon led the game with 19 rebounds to go along with six points and four steals.
