Tennessee Tech Baseball Midweek Preview  (3/10)

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team returns to Cookeville and the comfort of Quillen Field and Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex for a midweek match-up with in-state rival Lipscomb Wednesday afternoon.

First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CT in what represents the first tilt between the two programs this season. The contest is slated to appear on ESPN+ with Dylan Vazzano on the call.

The two sides were scheduled to square off in Nashville on Feb. 18, but inclement weather and field conditions forced the teams to postpone the contest to a later date. A make-up day has not yet been determined.

The Golden Eagles enter the game following their opening weekend of Ohio Valley Conference play on the road. SIUE defeated Tech in three close contests by scores of 4-2, 5-2 and 11-9. The Bisons come off a road series at No. 25 Alabama, falling to the Crimson Tide 2-1 in 13 innings in the opener before snagging an upset victory, 3-2, on Saturday. Lipscomb dropped the series finale on Sunday, 14-2.

Last season, Lipscomb won the only meeting between the two programs, a 4-1 decision in Nashville in mid-March.
