BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference has announced alterations to the 2020-21 volleyball schedule.

In order to limit travel to multiple locations during the same weekend and give schools the most flexibility to complete the highest percentage of matches possible, the OVC Council of Directors of Athletics approved an updated schedule that now features 16 conference matches with back-to-back matches with the same opponent.

Matches will be contested on Sundays and Mondays. The first conference matchup is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Feb. 7 and the regular season will conclude on Monday, Mar. 29.

The NCAA will announce the selections for a revised 48-team bracket on Sunday, Apr. 4. This year's field will include 32 automatic qualifiers and 16 at-large bids. The finals are scheduled for Apr. 23-25.

Teams will play in accordance with local regulations, NCAA medical guidelines and supporting OVC standards.

The Golden Eagle slate will now feature four road trips and four home weekends, beginning with a visit to Clarksville, Tenn. and a two-match clash with Austin Peay Feb. 7-8. Tech returns home for back-to-back weekends in the Eblen Center, playing host to Eastern Illinois (Feb. 14-15) and Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 21-22).

Back on the road, the purple and gold will head south for Feb. 28 and Mar. 1 tilts at Jacksonville State before traveling back to Cookeville to host Morehead State Mar. 7 and 8. From Mar. 14-15, Tech will visit in-state foe Tennessee State, followed by another road swing at Murray State from Mar. 21-22. The Golden Eagles wrap up the regular season by hosting Belmont Mar. 28-29.
