In 2009 (Junior): Brooke had a solid season as she ranked fourth on the team in both goals and points. Posted an impressive .462 shots-on-goal percentage. Her strongest game of the season came against Alabama State (9/4) when she scored two goals, four points, and had three SOG.
IN 2008 (Sophomore): Brooke played in all 20
games for the Golden Eagles, including nine starts. Had a
season-high two shots against Appalachian State, and matched that
total against Eastern Illinois. She finished the year with eight
total shots, including five on goal.
IN 2007 (Freshman): Seeing action in all 18
games, including three starts, Brooke accumulated fifteen shots,
including seven on goal as a freshman. Brooke’s lone goal of
the season was the game-winner against Austin Peay.
HIGH SCHOOL: Mayo earned one letter in both track
and cross country for coach Roxanne Farris as well as three letters
in soccer for coach Sarah Harvey at North Garland High School. She
was named Offensive MVP in 2003-05, First-team All-District in
2003-04, Second-team All-District, Team MVP in 05-06, Team captain
in 05-06, Sherman All-Tournament Team in 2004 & 2006, and the
Ice Bowl All-Tournament Team in 2005-06.
CLUB EXPERIENCE: Mayo spent 3 years with the
Vipers, one year with FC Texas and one year with FC Dallas.
PERSONAL: Brooke is the daughter of Michael and
Brenda Mayo…majoring in Exercise Science…born March
29, 1989 in Garland, Texas…full name is Brooke Ashley
Mayo.
