COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech women's track
& field team will be in Clarksville a day earlier than expected
as the Golden Eagles compete in the Showdown on the Cumberland meet
at Austin Peay. The meet was originally scheduled for Friday, but
moved ahead one day by the host team.
It's the final preparation before the OVC Championships next week,
and the meet will include just three schools -- Tech, Murray State
and host Austin Peay. Field events begin at 3 p.m. and running
events at 4 p.m. in an abbreviated schedule.
The OVC Championships will be held May 4-5, at Southeast Missouri
in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
