Golden Eagles round out first day of action at F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate

DICKSON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech men's golf team completed the first 36 holes at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, finishing the first day of action at Greystone Golf Club with a total score of 609.

The Golden Eagles posted a 306 in the first round before shaving three strokes off their effort for a 303 in the second round.

Senior Alexander Riddle led the Tech squad on day one, tying for 29th among 75 participants. The veteran posted a first-round 78, but went to work in round two, dropping six strokes for an even-par 72 and total score of 150.

Freshman Bracton Womack continued his strong rookie campaign, carding a 75-76=151 to tie for 36th through the first two rounds. Fellow newcomer Will Brooks ranked next for the Tech squad, tying for 4th overall. He posted a 75-79=154.

Next among the Golden Eagle participants was sophomore Charles Seals, who tied for 57th with back-to-back 78s and a 156 overall. Cameron Yeary, also a sophomore, rounded out the Tech lineup, tying for 62nd after rounds of 81 and 77 for a 158.

Round three play is set to kick off with a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start on Tuesday morning in Dickson, Tenn.
