BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference has announced that eight OVC basketball games this season will be broadcast by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. on the American Sports Network (ASN).
Tennessee Tech men's basketball fans will now be afforded two more opportunities to watch the Golden Eagles this season when they are unable to hit the road like the team. Tech's Saturday, Jan. 21 tilt at Belmont and its Saturday, Feb. 25 match-up at Eastern Kentucky will both appear on the ASN Schedule. The contest at Belmont is set for an 11 a.m. CT start and the EKU game is set for a 1 p.m. CT tip.
The announced ASN schedule includes seven men's basketball contests and one women's basketball game.
The American Sports Network is an initiative of the Sinclair Networks Group, LLC, owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., which owns and operates programs and provides sales serves to 164 television stations in 79 markets, reaching approximately 43 percent of U.S. television households. It includes FOX, ABC, CBS, MyTV, CW, NBC, Univision and Azteca affiliates.
The exact stations each of the games will air will be announced at a later date.
The announcement of these broadcasts brings the current number of Conference games on national television this year to 23.
A complete television schedule including non-conference television games and games streaming on the OVC Digital Network will be released soon.
The Golden Eagles will kick off their 2016-17 schedule Friday, Nov. 11 when they visit Georgia Tech for a 7:00 p.m. CT tilt.
