COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech cross country travel to South Carolina this weekend as they participate in the Upstate Invitational on Saturday, October 5 at the Milliken Research Park.

The women's 5K is slated to begin at 8 a.m. with the men's 8K to follow at 8:45 a.m.

The Field

The Upstate Invitational field consists of host USC Upstate, Belmont Abbey, Claflin, Cleveland CC, Columbia (S.C.), Converse, Lander, Limestone, Lincoln Memorial, Newberry, USC Aiken, Southern Wesleyan, Winthrop, and Wofford.

Running for Anna Cooper

The Golden Eagles are wearing a purple ribbon in each of their races this season to celebrate the memory of former Golden Eagle Anna Cooper, who passed away from a battle with cancer in June. The purple color is used to represent rare forms of cancer.

Up Next

The Golden Eagles will then be off until Oct. 18 when they will compete in the Murray State Open in Murray, Ky, which will be Tech's final race before the OVC Cross Country Championships.
